From Experimental Design to Bioinformatics

This interactive session will provide a practical, experience-driven introduction to spatial transcriptomics, following the complete journey from experimental planning to advanced bioinformatics analysis. Designed for researchers entering the field, the workshop combines perspectives from project leadership, wet-lab implementation, and computational analysis to demystify the challenges of spatial transcriptomics workflows.

Through a series of informal lectures and discussion-oriented sessions, participants will gain insights into study design, sample preparation, experimental pitfalls, first-line data processing, and advanced downstream analyses. Speakers will share real-world experiences, lessons learned, and practical strategies for successfully navigating this rapidly evolving interdisciplinary field.

Speakers:
Aleksandra Divac Rankov, Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, University of Belgrade
Nevena Vezmar, Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, University of Belgrade
Igor Davidovic, Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, University of Belgrade
Mateja Ilic, Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, University of Belgrade
